Summer 2026, CETAL will fund up to 20 participants to participate in ACUE's Quick Study Courses. ACUE’s Quick Study courses are short, self-paced modules designed to build practical, high-impact teaching skills. Each course takes about 1–2 hours to complete and focuses on timely topics like student engagement, critical thinking, AI, and media literacy. The courses provide concrete strategies you can immediately apply in your classes.
An on-demand, searchable library of short videos, downloadable resources, and high-impact teaching practices covering in-demand topics in addition to peer-to-peer networking and access to teaching and learning news.

Participants will gain access to the ACUE Quick Study Library. They will be able to explore the different 1-2 hour offerings this summer and watch and engage with the content on their own time. They will have access to the Quick Study Library for 6 months.
Writing Effective AI Prompts - Create AI prompts using reflective questioning to refine outputs and efficiently craft engaging course announcements.
Leveraging AI to Develop Course Resources - Utilize AI to create instructional materials and generate resources to support student learning.
Teaching With AI-Inclusive and AI-Resistant Learning Experiences - Develop skills in designing and creating assignments that effectively leverage AI, including assignments that are AI resistant.
Empowering Students to Use AI Responsibly - Learn how to develop students’ understanding and responsible use of AI by setting clear expectations and teaching them to use it to support their learning.
Developing Students' Critical Thinking and Analytical Skills - Sharpen your students' critical thinking and analytical abilities to enable effective problem solving and rational decision making.
Developing Students' Media Literacy Skills - Equip your students with the skills to navigate today's media-saturated world and become informed consumers of information.
Embedding Career Guidance into Your Course - Learn strategies to engage students in initial career conversations, motivate them to seek support from the campus career center, and help them understand how internships can shape their future.
Establishing a Culture of Constructive Conversations - Take this ACUE Quick Study course to learn teaching strategies that empower your students to have constructive conversations.
Introduction to Generative AI - Kickstart your AI journey with this Quick Study, covering GenAI essentials, challenges, and benefits—a perfect intro before diving deeper into the AI series!
Course tuition paid for, for up to 20 ECC participants
Faculty participants will receive 2 CETL Workshop Clock Hours towards lane movement for each Quick Study course completed up to 18 hours.
