What it is: Each semester, courses are selected for a two-year initiative in which participating faculty engage in an assessment cohort to make equity a lens through which we approach assessment, from prioritizing courses and programs to determining measurement instruments and intervention strategies.
Opportunities to Get Involved:
Faculty Teaching Courses Involved: If you're teaching one of the courses included, engaged with colleagues and Course Lead to plan and implement the assessment
Future Cohort Leads: Provide guidance and structure to a cohort, as the faculty cohort lead.
Future Course Leads: Coordinate and lead the course's assessment project, as the faculty course lead.

What it is: Coordinated, informal small and large group conversations about equitable and inclusive teaching, based on a theme or guiding question.

What it is: A one-on-one faculty mentoring program pairs faculty together, as mentor and mentee, to explore and work on goals determined by the mentee.

What it is: The ECC Honors Program invites all students who are motivated to learn, curious about the world, and who want to engage on campus and in their communities. Our Honors Program shares our college’s values of equity and diversity, committing to creating an inclusive community that values diversity in all forms and perspectives. Our Honors Program believes in the potential of all students to learn and grow.
Opportunities to Get Involved:
Faculty can teach an Honors class
Faculty can mentor students in a one-credit Honors Inquiry Project
Faculty can create special, one-topic credit courses.

What it is: The mission of the Student Success Initiative Incubator (SSII) is to to improve student success among diverse populations by incentivizing and institutionalizing equitable support and resources; promote awareness and understanding of critical success factors; and dismantle structural barriers within the institution. SSII encourages the creation and adoption of innovative programs and practices that support student success.
Opportunities to Get Involved:
Submit a proposal for a new initiative to take place on campus. Calls for proposals are emailed to all employees at the start of each semester.
Volunteer to serve on the committee.

All ECC students and faculty are eligible to participate on Center activities to include projects, workshops, guest speakers and the spring symposium.
